The food is excellent and every Friday is prime rib night the service is good and I've never had a bad dish there.

A favorite place for steaks and the Friday night Prime Rib. We love the onion loaf and we'd recommend it to anyone. The staff is friendly and I love the cozy atmosphere. We'll be back often.

I worked at a Red Cross shelter close by after Helene. I'm from California and had the pleasure of having real southern cooking. It was delicious. All employees were wonderful.

Their southern cooking is top notch. I went there for lunch and loved it. Their fried squash came in strips and was homegrown. It isn't offered all the time because they can't get it, but it needs to be!

Service staff were very friendly and attentive! Atmosphere was very nice. It's kind of a quaint place! Prices are a little bit higher than expected but quality of food was well worth it! Nice little treat for a very rough week. They have my dad's favorite (stack cake) RIP Dad.

What an incredible quaint place! The southern decor and ambiance was right on! The food was delicious and our waitress was amazing and it's a shame I don't remember her name. She heard us talking about my seafood allergy and she was so incredible making sure that what I ordered would be shellfish free with no cross contamination. Even if it meant I couldn't have the fried green tomatoes. I was so appreciative of her attentiveness. We went around 5:30 on a Friday and had to wait about 15 mins to be seated but it was no biggie. I later learned that the wait was due to Prime Rib night. My cousin ordered it and loved it. Looking forward to visiting the Blue Rooster again. Hopefully sooner than later.

This was our first time to the Blue Rooster, and we will definitely be back! Being in a strip mall made me second guess the choice at first, but the moment you step through the door that changes. It's clean, decorated well for the right southern vibe, and very "homey". Our waitress Jessie was amazing, super friendly and very attentive. She paced things well so nothing was doubled up as we ate (appetizer, salads, entrees). She was also very helpful with what to order. We started with the Haystack Onions appetizer, which was nice and crisp, with a delicious dip. Then we moved onto our salads and one of us had the broccoli cheddar soup. First time I've been to a moderate-level restaurant where our salad bowl AND salad fork came out chilled! And the ranch dressing was thick and delicious! My wife and I got the 10oz ribeye special (came with a slightly spiced baconie "cowboy butter", which I'd skip next time). We eat a lot of steak, and she said this was the best ribeye she's ever had! Cooked to the right temp and seasoned perfectly! Mine was beautifully done as well, but I'm typically a non-steak sauce person, preferring the natural flavor of the steak, so the cowboy butter took away from it a bit -- unfortunately, the butter was fully melted on MY steak when it arrived so I couldn't scrape it off like my wife did with hers. Regardless, AMAZING ribeyes! My MIL and grandson both got the Rather Be Fishin' dinner, and can I tell you, all FOUR of us could have eaten what comes with just one of those meals! Both loved the crispy coating and the tender fish and shrimp. We were way too full for the coconut cake we saw in the display, but it was tempting! Next time for sure! We live in Florida and only come up once or twice a year, but we WILL be back to the Blue Rooster again!!

Wow!! Sadly I waited until the night before I leave to try this place!!! The blackened grouper is out of this world amazing, collard greens were cooked to perfection! My mom got the prime rib cheesesteak which was the special of the day and she too said it is so incredible! Can't wait for my next trip to come again!!

Just had a terrific lunch at Blue Rooster. My first meal there was a total disaster. I said I would not go back. Glad I changed my mind. I ordered the same fried chicken sandwich I had on my first visit. This time it was really tasty and fresh. I ordered mashed potatoes rather than fries this time. They were fantastic. So was it the "best" fried chicken sandwich I have ever had? No. However, it was really good. This time I ate in the restaurant rather than take out. The service was exceptional and the restaurant was clean and inviting. The only reason I didn't rate five stars was value. I paid $16 for a sandwich and side. The meal was worth $10 (IMO).
